I had Pączki yesterday in celebration of it being Fat Tuesday and then I didn’t even realize that “Yesterday was Mardi Gras!” and I wrote Words show up on the Page instead. I think that is an indication of where my mind was at yesterday, but Mardi Gras in the United States is celebrated differently depending on where you live. Here in Detroit, Michigan we celebrate it as Paczki Day! Today is Ash Wednesday, and I don’t know where my mind was at yesterday?
I think that my lack of concentration with my writing has a lot to do with trying to setup this new computer. I’m having trouble concentrating on doing other things like writing, because my mind is preoccupied with setting up this machine. Yesterday I couldn’t even make the connection with it being Mardi Gras and writing about that instead of just putting some words on the page.
I guess I’m not doing very much better today though with what I am writing about…I should be talking about the Biblical significance of today: “Dusting oneself with ashes was the penitent’s way of expressing sorrow for sins and faults.” The Lord knows that I repent today for my many sins and faults I have done against Him and others. I pray for God’s forgiveness today of these many sins and wrongs that I’ve done. I am hopeful and faithful in believing in God’s best for my life in the future!
Thanks for Listening,
Jeff

Never had a Polish doughnut. A blessed Ash Wednesday. Peace be with you Jeff.
