It’s Sunday and Joel Osteen’s message is titled “Help Others To Win” by doing something to lend others a helping hand in life. These are my notes that I took as I watched and listened (Click Here for today’s Podcast) to Joel’s broadcast today: It has been said, “That you’ll always have what you want, if you’ll help others get what they want.” by lending a helping hand so that others can succeed. When you are the one making someone else’s life better, you are sowing a seed for own life as well to rise higher. By giving what we have to offer to others, we are sharing hope in the future that others will share their blessings as well (The Golden Rule). When we try and hold others back, we are holding ourselves back, too. The thought of What goes around, comes around! has come to mind.
When we take time to help other people win we’re actually helping ourselves to win. In the Scripture the Apostle Paul never would’ve become the man he was without a man called Barnabas as told here in their missionary journeys. As Joel quoted Acts 9:26-27 to document this message. When you help someone to win you become a friend for life.
True success is when you reach back and you bring somebody along with you to share in your accomplishments. Look around: Who has God brought into your life? Their not in your life by accident. God brings people across our path on purpose, they are there for a reason. We are living our lives to add value and purpose to other people’s lives, as we see this big picture of the vision for our life and our purpose. We’re here to help others succeed!
This is the information from the podcast page about today’s message Help Others To Win by Joel Osteen:
God wants us to help others win in life, to be people who reach back, invest and help others become the best person they can be. We each have skills, influence, position and knowledge to impart to others. There are doors we can help open for others that will launch them into their destiny. In the Bible, Barnabas was instrumental in helping Paul win at life. Whenever the disciples were apprehensive about Paul joining them in ministry, Barnabas stood up for Paul, and in return, Paul was accepted. He went on to write half of the New Testament.
Today, you can be a Barnabas in someone’s life. You can help someone come up higher and help them step into their God-given destiny. Simply look around. Who are you investing in? Who are you making better? Who are you pushing up? Your destiny is tied to helping others. And remember, what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you!
Be blessed by God by helping others to win!
