Today I want to write about that “My WordPress Site Is Repaired,” and I’ll be trying to summarize the blog entries that I’d made regarding the editing of my Windows Live Spaces links.
It all started with this post Making my blog readers Aware and here is a quote:
“To demonstrate this problem for an example I’ll use my post from last year on this date titled Uncertainty about my plans for Today and this link: Just write about It! Clicking this old Windows Live Spaces link will take you to my home page here at WordPress, but it should take you to this entry.“ “Once this problem is corrected, this blog entry will be irrelevant, but I just wanted to let you all know about what is going on at my site today.“
Then I wrote My WordPress Site Is Broken:
“But these old Windows Live Spaces links don’t work anymore and it is taken away my reasons to reminisce about my previous blog entries. I use a lot of links when I write each day, but little did I know that using all these links was going to cause me grief, because now these links don’t work.“
Here is a quote from This blog has been Deactivated and “WordPress support stating: ‘Yes, since Microsoft has shut down Live Spaces, your links to it will no longer work.’ My thought was I wish someone would have informed me that the links had an expiration date on them. So I could have been working on editing them out while the links still worked. Live and learn as they say, right?”
At this point I was obsessed with trying to repair all these old Windows Live Spaces broken links and wrote these posts: Editing my blog Entries ~ National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ~ Still editing my blog Entries ~ Fiction Friday is canceled Today ~ Taking a break from Editing ~ Editing away again Today ~ This editing of my Site ~ Writing First then Editing Next ~ This challenge to edit my Site.
After changing these old Windows Live Spaces links to new WordPress links for days: I then find out a few days ago that this problem was another technical difficulty at my site that is now repaired. And I can’t even explain what this glitch in the system was or the technical explanation for what happened? I’m just happy that it’s fixed!
Thanks for Listening,
Jeff
