Holidays that are celebrated from religious or other traditions of origins have somehow become an advertiser’s delight and a means to make money, but “Halloween is more than Trick-or-Treat!” Like so many other holidays Halloweens meaning of All Saints’ Day has become as lost as All Souls’ Day, which follows Halloween on the second day after the holiday. What the actual meaning of any particular day depends so much on our beliefs. Whether we believe that we as humans Evolved or we were Created will make a difference in determining our beliefs.
Here is what I wrote last year Happy Halloween! And determining the actual meaning of the written word has so much to do with how we process what is being said and what is meant; is something of a trick-or-treat in itself. I have noticed that depending on my interest in the subject being talked about determines how I relate to the words on the page. Usually I would write a Fiction Friday post for today, but I couldn’t think of anything to write about the prompt: “Write from the point of view of a child who went trick-or-treating, then had their parent take away all their candy so they wouldn’t get fat.”
I have been having a problem with coming up with things to say with my writing lately. I believe that it is just something going on with my mind. How I perceive myself as a writer and whether or not anyone would even want to read anything that I have to say. I have been through this very same thing many times with my goal to learn how to write, and I never know whether or not it is going to be a trick-or-treat!
