On this blessed Sunday Joel Osteen’s message is one that the whole world needs to hear “Activating Faith Instead of Fear!” What an uplifting broadcast Joel has delivered to all of us today and these are the notes that I took while I watched and listened to him: I want to talk to you today about choosing faith instead of fear; Every day we have a choice in having faith in God
or letting our fear steal our joy and worrying about what is going to happen in our lives today; When we worry about things we are making a choice in our minds and not believing in and relying on God’s goodness and mercy for us.
Fear and faith have something in common; They both ask us to believe in something that we cannot see; Fear says to believe the negative; Faith says that everything is going to fine; Don’t use your energy to worry use it to believe; Here’s the key, what we meditate on is going to take root; That’s what Job said, “The thing I feared came upon me”; Don’t let the negative thoughts in your mind have control over you, choose faith instead of fear; People are worried about a lot of things in the world today, but having faith over having fear will bring God’s favor into your life!
Jesus said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”! Matthew 9:29 (I added the exclamation mark, emphasis mine.) Quit expecting the worst and expect God’s favor in your life; Negativity, fear, wrong mindsets and bad news are contagious beware of your friends with these types of feelings; The experts could be wrong (the doom and gloom on the news) turn that 
off, we can believe and say He is Jehovah–Jireh He is in control of our lives; Believing in God and thinking about the good things in life like faith, love, joy and hope can be contagious too!
Negative thoughts can turn into negative imaginations cast them down you have control over your imagination; See good things happening in your life; Choose the right channel to play in your mind, think of all your dreams coming true; If your going to dream, dream good thoughts; Joel talked about a dream he had about people not coming to see him at his service; (I’ve had the same negative images in my mind about people not reading what I write about); Keep God first place in your life He will take you places that you have never even dreamed of! 
I tried this last week and I think that it worked but I really don’t know if it did or not? This is from Joel’s Live Like a Champion Emails that you can receive too, just by signing up for it. The video is titled Activating Faith Instead of Fear and here is a sample of the Email: “We have many opportunities each day to worry and live in fear, from being worried about the economy and our health to our family and children, the list could go on and on! But did you know faith and fear have something in common?”

Jeff,First let me say how terribly sorry I am for not dropping in more on your blogs and other activities here on Live Spaces! A lot has been going on in my life and now with me having to investigate the new features and adapt to the New Live Spaces release and request for additional help has more than kept me busy!You have made a very vital point in your post here! I, too, have fallen victim to fears and I know what my authority in Jesus is and how I can put Satan under my foot where he belongs. Sometimes there are things in life that have such a direct affect on us that we often times loose sight of that! It has taken me a great level of stress and other item\’s to transpire in my life to be able to finally figure this out!What is even more important is the fact that I nearly allowed Satan to destroy me and my family with what should have been some very easy to control issues. If we can control things and take our life in control we can then begin to see just how easy it can and should be!Be blessed my wonderful friend!Greg
