Day Four Deer Hunting

Today is “Day Four Deer Hunting” and I wrote this yesterday Day Three Deer Hunting before I went out in the woods. So I’ll be writing what I wrote in the woods yesterday in my notebook for today’s post: At 11:43 AM I was all settled in the pine tree blind. But I could not get my mind off of some problems at Ma’s house. There is a hot ground or something energizing the light switch electrical box for the overhead light in Ma’s bedroom, and the automatic garage door isn’t working properly.

To tell you how my day is going…I brought this pen and a notebook of paper with me to write on while I’m out hunting in the woods. So I wouldn’t have to think of something to write about when I’m tired, after being out hunting all day. Because I really do enjoy my writing therapy and putting my thoughts into words on the page. Now my pen is running out of ink and I don’t have another pen to use, so no more writing for today.

Day Four Deer Hunting: I took another pen with me out in the woods today, but I forgot to check and see if the pen worked before I went out in the woods. And you guessed it, the pen was dry so no writing from the woods today. The thought being always check to see if whatever you plan on using is going to work.

But my whole day has been much more than just that though, the thought of planning ahead. It has been more like just going with the flow and accepting whatever happens as the way it should be. What else can one do? Tomorrow is another day, and I’m sure there will be more of life’s lessons to learn, I just hope I’m ready for them!

Thanks for Listening,

About Jeff

I started my Blog on November 25, 2006 and I wanted a Web page where I could "Learn Something New!" Windows Live Spaces made it so easy that even I could do it. I made a commitment to myself to write something in my Blog every day. My writing challenge ended on May 23, 2012.

Oh Jeff, do not know if humour intended but having been in the bush I can well imagine getting out there and having no pen. Once we went on a camp-out to a quite remote area and on set-up realized we had forgotten the tent! The tent! Unbelievable. Something was jerry rigged and fortunate it did not rain. LOL
