Today my story is about “Flag Day in Windows Live Spaces!” An I lament, about my addiction to my statistics page, being removed from my site. It is like the stars and strips have been removed from America’s flag. There is nothing left but the white flag of surrender, because of this great loss of my statistics page. But where shall I go to practice my writing each day? All of my blog posts are here, it would be like leaving my country of America, something that I cannot and will not do. Why would a blogging site remove their statistics page? It would be like removing the colors of a country’s flag, and surrendering one’s liberty to injustice.
OK, so I’m getting a bit carried away here today with my words on the page. But much like Happy Flower’s post about Riding the Wave 4 of Windows Live Space’s removal of HTML in the Guestbook here at our sites. We each have found out what is important to us, as we socialize. In my case, I found out how addicted I am to seeing all the hits on my statistics page. I tried using this site called StatCounter, but it doesn’t list all the hits to things like pictures, graphics, and many other listings that use to show up on the Windows Live statistics page…It’s just not the same.
In this post Somebody’s Watching Me! I’m talking about my paranoia, an as a trade off I said: “It is really a lot of fun looking at my statistics page and finding out what you are reading…” Here is wishing you all Happy Flag Day America! from a previous post. As I’ve seemed to went, on an on, about the loss of viewing my statistics today, but I’ve also been talking a lot about choices! in this Fiction Friday entry.
Thanks for Listening,
