The feeling of Contentment

Today my thoughts are on “The feeling of Contentment,” and it’s not because I’m feeling content. But that it has to do with my post on The words Meaning and Purpose, and how they relate to one’s contentment in their life. And while I’m at it, I might just as well add links from these posts Fun is aesthetically pleasing the Psyche, along with, My unique writing Life!  Just to give you an idea and to substantiate where I’m going today with this feeling of contentment. I liked this quote by George A. Smith:

Happiness, contentment, the health and growth of the soul, depend, as men have proved over and over again, upon some simple issue, some single turning of the soul.

The thought here of pleasing one’s soul to fulfill one’s purpose in life, which will ultimately provide true meaning and contentment to one’s soul. Seems like a very obvious observation, to me, in summarizing this feeling of being content. But in trying to put one’s emotions into words, there is always room for alternative feelings, on any given day with the consciousness in one’s mood. I would love to feel this contentment of which I’m trying to write about today.

But as usual, I find myself lacking in the proper feelings of this emotion to expand on this idea. Stating only the obvious of the existence of this emotion called contentment, and wondering with a yearning in my soul for this feeling to become a reality in my heart. Although I’m quite content that my writing practice is complete. There is a great big world out there to discover and to find one’s contentment in life!

Thanks for Listening,
