“May the luck of the Irish be with you all today!” as I’m celebrating and wishing you all a “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!” holiday. This search of my site today has revealed to me on this date back in 2007 was the first time that I started using these Smiley Central emoticons in my blog at my Windows Live Spaces site, which is now this WordPress site. This search also revealed, from a previous post, a song by The Irish Rovers that I really like listening to titled The Unicorn Song, because I feel it sets the Irish mood for this holiday.
Over the past few days I’ve been busy editing my blog entries here at this new WordPress site because of the difference between this site’s format and the Windows Live Space’s format. It seems that my talking smiley face emoticons I’ve used are treated similarly to how the YouTube videos are at this site.
So I wanted to try a little experiment here today with this talking smiley that says, “Everybody’s Irish on Saint Patty’s Day!” to see if I can edit out the code that appears in my blog entries where I’ve used these talking smiley face emoticons. Of course I’ll just be making more editing work for myself by doing this today, but I really don’t like seeing the code in my blog posts where I’ve used them either.
I have a feeling that I’m going to be doing a lot of experimentation here at this new WordPress site, but don’t let what I’m up to today stop you from having a great Saint Patrick’s Day holiday today!
Thanks for Listening,
