In this Sunday’s message Joel Osteen said, “God Will Bring You To A Flourishing Finish,” although, he didn’t mention anything about the Rapture: Or the Day of Judgment that was predicted in this article for yesterday. But I just wanted to make note of the fact that Joel’s title was about God bringing us to a flourishing finish. Do you see a relationship between the End of Days and a finish? Or is this just a mind game my thoughts are playing on me and too coincidental to mention this today? These are my notes that I took as I watched and listened to Joel’s broadcast, please feel free to Click Here for today’s Podcast. (At the moment this link says: “Oops! This link appears to be broken.” but I’m adding it anyway.) And hopefully you can hear it for yourself when you click the link.
Going to heaven, that’s not defeat, it’s the ultimate victory. You’re going to a place where there is no sorrow, no pain, and no heart ache. You won’t be in heaven very long before you realize it’s the greatest victory of your life. God will never let the enemy have the last laugh, He will make sure you get the honor and glory you deserve. Your life is not going to end on a negative!
Joel quoted these verses of Scripture:
This is the information from This Week’s Message page about today’s broadcast titled God Will Bring You To A Flourishing Finish by Joel Osteen:
We all go through disappointments and face unfair situations. The mistake many people make is that they get stuck where they are. They become bitter and negative, and in the end, give up on their dreams.
But here is the good news. Disappointment is not the final chapter in life. God never ends in a negative. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (NIV)
If you will keep moving forward with your life, God promises that He will bring you to a flourishing finish. Not a defeated finish, a bankrupt finish, a betrayed finish, a barely-get-by finish. No, God has a victorious finish in your future.
Instead of that setback, that disappointment, that betrayal working against you, God will turn it around and cause it to work for you. For every setback, God has already lined up a comeback; for every injustice, vindication; for every disappointment, restoration and new beginnings. Stay in faith. God will bring you to a flourishing finish! That’s a promise.
Be blessed knowing it is not over until God says, “It is over!”
