Honoring Our Veterans Today!

LibertyIs it too much to ask that you, “Remember Me!” on Veterans Day as we’re “Honoring Our Veterans Today!”

This is the opening paragraph from a proclamation by president Barack Obama from The White House:

“Today, our Nation comes together to honor our veterans and commemorate the legacy of profound service and sacrifice they have upheld in pursuit of a more perfect Union. Through their steadfast defense of America’s ideals, our service members have ensured our country still stands strong, our founding principles still shine, and nations aroundVeterans Day (2011) poster from the United States Government the world know the blessings of freedom. As we offer our sincere appreciation and respect to our veterans, to their families, to those who are still in harm’s way, and to those we have laid to rest, let us rededicate ourselves to serving them as well as they have served the United States of America.”

And I liked this Veterans Day 2011 video because our freedom here in America and around the world does not come to us for free. Our military has sacrificed so very much for us, so we can enjoy the freedoms we have as Americans, in this great country. I’m writing this entry today to say, “Thank You!” to all of our veterans.

Thanks for Listening,
