Although I hesitate saying it but, “I’ve made a lot of Mistakes,” and writing about this subject today may be one of them. But today’s title is inspired by another one of my previous entries from last year on this date Oops! I’ve made a Mistake. Just admitting to this fact, is something that I find very embarrassing, but who among us is perfect? Learning life’s lessons from our mistakes is how it should be, right?
One of the reasons that I wanted to write about this subject today is because of my negative thinking. This quote from Making things too Difficult: “Catastrophizing – ‘Focusing on the worst possible outcome, however unlikely, or thinking that a situation is unbearable or impossible when it is really just uncomfortable.’ And this quote from Wikipedia describes it perfectly.“ But I’ll make a big deal out of a simple mistake in my mind, which makes the situation seem much worse to me.
Living with these kinds of negative thoughts is emotionally upsetting to me. But I’ve used writing therapy to help me to deal with these kinds of negative thoughts. For some strange reason putting my thoughts into words by writing them down on the page and getting them out of my head seems to help. Although sharing these kinds of thoughts in my blog may be a mistake on my part it does make me feel better.
Thanks for Listening,
