On this very frigid autumn Sunday, Joel Osteen’s message is “Appreciating the People in Your Life,” and no one has gotten to where they are today alone. These are my notes that I took today as I watched and listened to Joel’s broadcast. Please feel free to Click Here for today’s Podcast, to listen to it, for yourself. We all have people in our lives that we need to show our appreciation to. We need to say, “Thank You!” to the people in our lives that we may some times take for granted, who have helped us get to where we are today. The scripture says humble yourself, and God will exalt you, give people the credit when credit is do. Express your thanks to the people who have helped you in your life. Don’t take for granted the people who are making you look good and helping you to live a better life.
We need to show our appreciation to the people that are packing our parachute so that we don’t fall to the ground. We should be focusing on the good things that people do for us in our lives and show our gratitude towards them. Take time to show your appreciation to the people in the background of our lives. Learn to express your love to others by showing them that you care. We all have people in our lives that are making us better. Let them know how much their service means to you and you’ll receive a feeling of satisfaction from telling them that you care.
Joel quoted these verses of Scripture:
This is the information from This Week’s Message page about today’s broadcast titled Appreciating the People in Your Life by Joel Osteen:
Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Every one of us has people in our life that helped shape us into who we are today. Who has been there to comfort you in a time of loss? Who encourages you when you’re down? Who can you count on when nobody else is around? Have you told those people how much you appreciate them? Don’t wait until it’s too late to tell them, express appreciation while they are still around. Take time to thank those who have made you better.
God will bless us for appreciating the people in our lives!
