This is the last Sunday of the month of January in the New Year, and Joel Osteen’s message is titled “Praying Bold Prayers,” what are you praying to God to receive? These are my notes that I took today as I watched and listened to Joel’s broadcast. Please feel free to Click Here for today’s Podcast; listen to it for yourself. Many of us believe in the power of prayer, but are you praying bold prayers? God is moved by our faith and we should be praying or asking Him for more than we need. So that we can be a blessing to other people that are less fortunate than we are and give them what they need. Praying a bold prayer will allow God to favor us with more than we’d ever dreamed was possible: Making the world a better place for us all. To see God’s kingdom on earth we need to pray bold prayers that are much greater than we can even imagine. We need to have a bigger vision so that God can do great things.
We need to realize that we serve a supernatural God and our prayers should allow Him to do everything that He is capable of achieving in our lives. If we don’t pray big bold prayers we are limiting God to our way of thinking in the just get by mentality that most of us share. Take the limits off of God and stretch you faith! God wants to do something new in your life, He wants to give you the secret petitions of your life; the desires of your heart. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, believe in what you want to see in your life!
Joel quoted these verses of Scripture:
This is the information from This Week’s Message page about today’s broadcast titled Praying Bold Prayers by Joel Osteen:
We can’t reach our highest potential in our own ability; we need God’s help. Part of releasing His help is through praying bold prayers.
God is moved by our faith. If you ask small, little prayers, you’ll get little results. But if you pray big prayers, you’re going to get big results. Matthew 9:29 says, “According to your faith it will be done to you.” (NIV). If you’re going to see God’s surpassing greatness, go beyond praying little prayers and ask God to do something big in your life. God is longing to amaze you with His goodness. Dare to stretch your faith. God wants to give you the secret petitions of your heart.
Pray bold prayers and receive God’s favor!
