Happy Pączki Day

Mardi Gras 2Today is Mardi Gras which is French for Fat Tuesday, or around here we say, “Happy Pączki Day,” or maybe you know today as Shrove Tuesday: “for the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Christian season of fasting and prayer called Lent.”

Whenever I’ve got a question about a religious holiday or any other questions on my mind, I like to use Bible Questions Answered, to help me find the information that I’m looking for, like today’s question: “What is the origin of Fat Tuesday / Mardi Gras?” I also watched a few videos on the History Channel about Mardi Gras to try and get some information about the holiday.” And this quote is from a previous post.
