“So I’ve been “Procrastinating about writing Today!” Thinking Oh, something will come to mind later to write about, and it’s now later and I’ve got nothing. What am I going to do? I read this great article on Procrastination, and I could see myself in many of their examples. But reading about the problem of procrastination, isn’t getting my writing practice done on this very beautiful Monday, or putting any words on this page for me today.“
I also read this article today titled Procrastination and Morality and here is a quote: “If you are a writer who never makes a deadline, the Epicureans would certainly not encourage you to strengthen your will; rather, they would question your choice of occupation.“ And I’ve used this quote to question Why I think I should be trying to write something in my blog each day?
I think it’s ironic that today is also a Monday and I’m trying to get some words on the page and here is a quote from the page: “In psychology, procrastination refers to the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of lower priority, or doing something from which one derives enjoyment, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time.“ Maybe I should have tried to write something later today?
